"I recently quit my job as an NYC-based lawyer & lobbyist to travel & teach yoga.
This poem was written in 2015 after my first trip out west in 2013 (picture).
It was not until 2018 that I started traveling again. I just moved to Oregon last week."

love is in the details
"you travel for the landscape,"
is what you said to me.
you told me how you saw me,
& i saw what one could see—
people have an eye for detail
& fall in love with little things.
i'm intricate, & nonetheless
you found what i keep deep.
& even more importantly,
i learned a bit 'bout me—
i fell in love with who i am
& who i want to be.
